Dragon Ball GT introduced several characters with the potential to shake up the series’ dynamic. However, many were left underdeveloped, sidelined in favor of more familiar faces.
Despite their unique designs and abilities, these characters were relegated to minor roles or forgotten altogether. This list highlights five characters who deserved better treatment, along with how they could have enriched the story.
5. Uub
Uub, the reincarnation of Kid Buu, entered Dragon Ball GT as Goku’s protégé, brimming with potential. His fusion with Majin Buu to become Majuub showcased his immense power.
Despite this, Uub’s role in the series diminished after his initial battles, leaving fans wondering why such a promising fighter was sidelined. With training from Goku, Uub had the potential to stand alongside the Saiyans, but instead, his character faded into the background as the focus shifted to other arcs.
4. Pan
However, Pan’s combat skills were underutilized, often portraying her as a damsel in distress. Fans were disappointed that her Saiyan heritage wasn’t explored further, especially since she had the potential to achieve Super Saiyan like her father and grandfather.
3. Baby Vegeta's Henchmen
Baby Vegeta’s control over the Tuffle remnants introduced henchmen like General Rilldo and Dr. Myuu. Rilldo, in particular, was described as stronger than Majin Buu, making him a formidable foe.
Despite their potential, these characters were quickly defeated and forgotten. The show missed an opportunity to expand on the Tuffle-Saiyan conflict and give these villains a more impactful role in the overarching narrative.
2. Giru
Giru, the quirky robot companion, had the potential to be more than comic relief. His connection to the Machine Mutants and his knowledge of advanced technology could have made him a pivotal character in the Baby arc or other technological threats.
While he had his moments of heroism, Giru’s role never grew beyond being a sidekick, leaving fans wishing he had a more significant impact on the story.
1. Vegeta’s Family
Bulma and Trunks played essential roles in the series, but Vegeta’s connection to them wasn’t explored deeply in GT. Bra, Vegeta’s daughter, was introduced as a minor character but never given the same attention as Pan or Trunks.
Her potential as a fighter and a bridge between Saiyan and human traits remained untapped. Vegeta himself, despite achieving Super Saiyan 4, didn’t receive the character development fans hoped for, especially regarding his relationship with his family.
