The long-awaited Dan Da Dan anime has officially made its debut on Netflix, introducing fans to a wild and supernatural world filled with eccentric characters and mysterious phenomena. Based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, Dan Da Dan blends sci-fi, supernatural elements, and humor to create a unique experience.

She possesses psychic abilities, allowing her to sense and interact with ghosts. Momo’s skeptical and practical approach to life adds charm to her character as she navigates the unknown.

Momo’s connection with her grandmother plays a significant role in her backstory. The latter, a renowned psychic, trained Momo from a young age, granting her the skills to confront paranormal threats. Episode 1 hints that Momo’s abilities may grow over time, foreshadowing even greater challenges in her future.

Ken Takakura’s Alien Obsession

Ken Takakura, the other protagonist, couldn’t be more different from Momo. An introverted student who believes in the existence of aliens, Ken finds himself frequently mocked by his peers. In contrast to Momo’s ghost-hunting expertise, Ken is obsessed with uncovering extraterrestrial life and spends much of his time researching UFO sightings and alien conspiracies. 

His deep fascination with aliens is at odds with Momo’s disbelief, leading to a quirky dynamic between the two characters.

In Episode 1, Ken encounters a bizarre situation where his alien obsession becomes reality. He’s abducted by aliens after stumbling upon a UFO sighting. This abduction scene is one of the highlights of the episode, blending comedy, suspense, and surreal moments that set the tone for the series.
