Sentai Filmworks has announced the home video release of BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy-, bringing this iconic 1988 manga-inspired anime to Blu-ray and DVD for a whole new generation of fans. Created by Kazushi Hagiwara, this intense fantasy series blends rock-and-roll energy with epic dark magic, swords, and sorcery in a world of chaos and war. 

Following the journey of Dark Schneider, an infamous dark wizard, the anime delivers explosive battles, memorable characters, and heavy-metal infused action that’s set to captivate old and new fans alike.

Set in a world ravaged by dark magic and demonic forces, BASTARD!! follows the story of Dark Schneider, a notorious sorcerer and former leader of the Dark Rebel Army. Once sealed away in the body of a boy named Luche Len-Len, Dark Schneider is resurrected when Luche’s friend, Tia Noto Yoko, performs a spell to save their kingdom from the evil Four Divine Kings.
