One Piece Live Action Season 2 Gets 2025 Release Date on Netflix

On July 18, 2024, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed that One Piece Live Action will officially return for a second season in 2025. The announcement came after the massive success of Season 1, which adapted Eiichiro Oda’s beloved One Piece manga into live action. 

The show gained praise for its faithful portrayal of the Straw Hat Pirates and its action-packed, adventurous storyline. Season 2 has already entered production, much to the delight of fans eager to see Luffy and his crew continue their journey on the Grand Line.

What to Expect in Season 2

Season 2 of One Piece Live Action is expected to cover the next major story arc, likely starting with the Alabasta Saga, which introduces key characters such as Princess Vivi and the formidable Baroque Works organization led by the powerful villain, Crocodile. 

The arc will focus on the Straw Hat Pirates helping Princess Vivi reclaim her kingdom from Crocodile’s sinister grip. Fans can expect to see thrilling battles, character development, and the introduction of powerful new foes as Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji navigate the increasingly dangerous waters of the Grand Line.

Cast & Production Details

While the full cast list for Season 2 has yet to be officially confirmed, it’s expected that Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) will return to reprise their roles as the Straw Hat Pirates. 

Production for Season 2 is already underway, with the creative team, including showrunners and producers, continuing their collaboration with One Piece creator Eiichiro Oda. Oda’s involvement in the adaptation has been pivotal in ensuring the show’s faithfulness to the original manga.

With Season 2 set for a 2025 release, fans of One Piece can look forward to more swashbuckling adventures, epic battles, and the further exploration of the vast, fantastical world of the Grand Line!
