Fans of quirky, comedic romance have something to look forward to as the upcoming anime NEET Kunoichi to Nazeka Dousei Hajimemashita has just dropped a new trailer, building excitement for its January 2025 release. 

This new anime is based on the popular manga by Yasuo Ito and follows the comedic yet heartfelt story of a former ninja, Akari Kisaragi, who is forced into an unusual living arrangement with a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) named Ryota.

Struggling to adjust to civilian life, Akari ends up living with Ryota, a laid-back NEET with no motivation to leave his easygoing lifestyle. Akari’s skills as a kunoichi often lead to hilarious misunderstandings and awkward situations in her attempts to fit into ordinary society. 

Unlikely Bonds & Comedic Hijinks

The series takes a unique approach focusing on the unlikely bond that forms between Akari and Ryota. Despite their differences—Akari’s disciplined ninja background and Ryota’s carefree, lazy attitude—the two end up developing a strong friendship and, potentially, something more.
