BBC Acquires 1000 Episodes of One Piece - Releasing Tomorrow September 1
The BBC has made a significant move by acquiring over 1000 episodes of One Piece, the beloved anime series based on Eiichiro Oda's globally renowned manga. For the first time in the UK, fans can access English-dubbed episodes of the long-running series exclusively on BBC iPlayer.
The acquisition comes as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations for One Piece, which has captivated audiences worldwide with its exciting adventures, deep characters, and enthralling storylines. This marks the BBC as the only platform offering dubbed versions of the anime in the UK.

BBC iPlayer will host ten major sagas, starting with the release of three sagas—East Blue, Alabasta, and Skypiea—which consist of 206 episodes in total, launching on September 1, 2024. Over the course of the year, all 1085 episodes will be released, covering these iconic sagas:
